1958 edsel trunk lock
I got the rear seat out of my edsel. Now I am working on getting the trunk lock to work. Both of the door locks work but not the trunk. I removed the whole pot metal trunk lock bezel. I see Macs sells new lock cylinders. How does the cylinder come out of the pot metal bezel? thanks.

According to the shop manual your supposed to insert and turn the key about a 1/4 turn and push in the pin at the bottom of the groove in the second picture.

Re: 1958 edsel trunk lock
Yup.....if you do not have the key just drill out the old cylinder VERY CAREFULLY and a new one from many different vendors will go right in.
