Default Extra number on block pad?

Hi All,

I've got an engine that looks to have come out of a '31 AA. There's a second number stamped upside-down on the pad: 21130.

I've never seen this before, can anyone shed some light? The engine number decodes to a late 1931, so it would surprise me if that second number was a 1930 date.

Thanks for any guidance.

Nick

There could be many reasons, most likely it is a rebuilders number
