Iding crank hole covers
I have a couple of 28/29 crank hole covers that appear to be originals - i.e. very old looking. However, they are a little different. One (on the left, lower part of picture) has a larger place where you push the cover open to insert the crank. The other one is more petite in this area. Does anyone know if there were different makers of the covers or different ones were used at different times? I checked the JG's but couldn't find anything about crank hole covers except the difference between 28/29 and 30/31 covers. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Iding crank hole covers
Rusty,
Ya,...that also bothered me about the shape. I think Doug bought / has a brass one. |

I think the one on the left is the more normal one. I wanted to get one or two renickeled and am not sure if both of them are Ford parts. Rusty Nelson |
