1939 pickup head light wiring harness
Trying to understand how the harness is layed out. Does the junction after the headlight bail go between the front crossmember rails with the main part of the harness then going towards the firewall? Does the main harness then attach to the dash harness or does it go through the crossmember then attach to the dash harness? Photos would be a big help.

Re: 1939 pickup head light wiring harness
Hope these help a little from my '39 pickup. I do not know if how it is done is correct. The 2 examples I have seen were missing the wiring completely or it had been redone with loose wire. There are 2 obvious things wrong - all of the splices below the switch bulb, and the missing grommet where it passes through the inner fender.
I have never been happy with how this is not dressed very well against the firewall. I tried seeing if a 'kidney' from a '40 would improve it but was just as unhappy. Any knowledge about how to dress the harness on the firewall would be appreciated. Let me know if you want more or different pictures |
