Hi Lou, there are few ways to get it done, some are "crude", some not!

It takes a decent dowel-pin puller (photo below) to do it correctly AND to be able to reuse them if necessary.

These are "stepped" pins also (photo below).

Thanks, Gary in N.Y.

P.S. On a side note, I keep dozens of these pins on the shelf if you need any, all new. Here's the puller, mfd by Goodson, and a shot showing some of our in-house mfd crankshaft pins.

I think know the flywheel was manufactured wrong and the pin holes were drilled the same size as the bolt holes and vise-versa. we will see what they will do.

"GOSFAST", First the special head washers and now this. It seems like you are the "go to guy" for these oddball small parts that are sometimes needed in an engine build. Nice to know there is a source for this stuff.

You can weld on the end let it cool, vise grips should pull it right out

I got one of Fidanza's aluminum with steel insert flywheels a few months ago.
Seems like it did take a little extra time for me to get it.
Maybe they make them when ordered, I don't know.
Seems to be a good product though.
Working on installing it today.
Seems the flywheel and crank are the same size pin holes.
I measured with digital calipers and they are both about .437 (7/16")
I'll have to get out the small hole gages and mic to get the exact size.
Are these pins hardened? Case hardened or dead soft?
I have some 17-4 stainless, I can make some.
