Is this a 49-51 Ford OD cable and handle? Or is it for something else? Thanks Rod

'49 and '50 Overdrive handle is chrome; '51 Overdrive handle is black. It looks like the handle in the pictures is chrome.

Mercury cars were chrome in 51. Most of these were somewhat universal with the major importance being the overall length of the cable assembly. FoMoCo probably purchased these from an outside source as did the others of the big 3 & Nash, Studebaker, Willys, & others. A lot of manufacturers offered the Borg Warner electric overdrive.
