'38-'39 truck headlight interchanges
What, if any, other car or truck headlights, or parts of, interchange with '38-'39 pickup and truck headlights. Thanks. Jim

Re: '38-'39 truck headlight interchanges
Some parts of '35 & '36 passenger car headlights are the same as '38-'39 trucks

Head light housing is the same 35 - 36, but the 36 lens is bug eyed, not flater like the 35 or truck lenses.

I have sealed beams, trim rings with the clips off my 36 Fordoor if you need them. I intstalled the original style lamps back on the car.

Re: '38-'39 truck headlight interchanges
My pickup has some other type lead lights. They had a running light on the top that can serve as directional signals. They look very close to the original. Chrysler products I think

Re: '38-'39 truck headlight interchanges
As others have posted, the 35 passenger bucket is essentially the same as 38/9 pickup. The 36 passenger car bucket is essentially the same bucket with a far shorter stand/stalk so they might cause issues with mounting. The 38 and 39 pickups used the same bucket. In 1940 and 1941, Ford used essentially the same bucket but they had a factory sealbeam setup incorporated into the bucket. The stainless headlight doors were not the same as the original 38/9bucket, (the 38/9 OEM bucket used the same headlight door as 35 passenger and 35-37 pickup), and 40 headlight doors are a bit different than the 41 headlight doors. What is really a neat thing to use on the 38 and 39 pickups are the 40 and 41 headlight stands. They are exactly the same as the 38/9 pickup headlight stands but they have factory running lights which can be used for either running lights, turn signals, or a combination of the two on a 38 or 39 with no fender or headlight stand modifications.
