Starter springs/bolts/locks Q
I have two NOS Ford starter springs , one in Ford box, other box disintregrated. I've been wondering, if these springs fit all Model A starters and maybe flathead V8s , or just specific yrs ? Reason for asking..got to put in correct swap area(s).

Re: Starter springs/bolts/locks Q
The letter B means its its for the 4cylinder model B engine which is interchangeable with all but the earliest model As. sorry but I do not know about V8s.

You can find more information in the Ford Complete Green Book 1928-1948, pages 493 thru 497.

Re: Starter springs/bolts/locks Q
The springs you have will not fit the early BR Bendix drives that fit the 1/2" shafts.
