High Compression "B" Police Head

This is how it was described to me when I got it:

Original high compression head fits 1928-1931 Ford model A engines.

It was called the B head. It does have the 4 bolt water pump mount so the original pump fits on it.

I had the head bead blasted and checked for cracks and milled .003 to true it up. That was done about 8 years ago and never used. The head is in good condition, all of the thread holes are usable, the spark plug holes are ok and the water pump seat is good. There are still some pitting on the bottom gasket surface, the machine shop said it would hold fine. You could have it milled more to take the pits out but it will raise the compression even more.

I was told these heads could be purchased through the Ford parts counter back in the day.

My father sold his a-model a few years back so I have no use for it now.

That one is pretty crispy it was rusted real bad. Look at all the pitting
It probably a $100 head.
You can buy a brand new one for the money your asking.

That is good to know. I didn't realize these original heads were still available from Ford. I thought all that was available was the reproductions by aftermarket manufacturers.
