Default Help on removing '32 column drop and horn/light rod from column

Hi All:

Looking for suggestions/tips on how to remove the column drop and horn/light rod from my '32 column.

for the horn/light rod, look at the bottom, there is a 2 pronged fork thing that turns the switch. you push that in and you will see a small horse shoe shaped clip, remove the clip and pull the rod out. the column drop must be unlocked, do you have the key and it works? after its unlocked weld a nut on the break away bolt, let it cool, and screw it out. gently jab a thin screw driver in to spread it out a bit so it slides off the tube.

Thank you so much. OK, will I be able to turn the wheel if it was locked? The key is there, but the lock cylinder is frozen/seized.

no, if its locked the whell wont turn, thats its job. after you get it off, there is a small pin to drill out then the lock will come out of the column. be careful, use the rite size bit and dont go too deep. soak in evaporust helps too
