Interesting trailer. Looks mid-30's.

I'm not a trailer guy, but the axle looks pretty far back, making high tongue weight for the A. On the other hand, the A's back end doesn't look very low.

Possibly an upgraded rear spring.

That's the trailers are made these days. It makes a big difference to the stability of it by almost completely preventing it swaying. Here, the aim is 10-15% of the weight of the trailer is on the draw bar. Our camper trailer weighs in at 900 kg (1980 pounds) and the draw bar weight is 105 kg (231 pounds)

As for the election that crowd is about, IMO, if we were to change the name of the candidate, nothing else would change. The issues are the same. Just goes to show how ineffective politicians are. 90 or so years later, people are still concerned about the same things.

If you look at Charles Lindbergh’s similar style travel trailer in the Henry Ford museum you will see it has an articulated tongue for pulling. The front of the trailer rests on two pneumatic tires with a coil spring supporting the weight. The back end of the car doe not carry any weight.

Even Ford's marketing campaign about the Model A highlighted prominent politicians who were Model A owners.
