Default Kiwi Konnection

anyone know what happened to the kiwi connection web site? my link now goes to a different page with only a ph#. I would like to look at the frames and options that they offer. I had planned on ordering from them about this time last year, but ran into a few financial problems and had to postpone ordering. I am now in a position to continue on my project and am interested in ordering one of their frames. Thanks,------Jim

I think Kiwi folded his tent and the business was sold to Gary Maxwell. Maxwell was apparently the guy that built the frame jigs for KK so I'd say product and quality will be the same. Here is contact info-

Not sure if distinctions matter, but just in case........
Maxwell used to work for Squeek Bell when he owned KK, then it was sold to another Kiwi named Duane Jones. Around that time Maxwell left to start his own deal, Blackboard Hot Rods. Yes, he was the one who made the various jigs, and knew all the connections for materials so his product ended up being a twin to the original KK product. He has an excellent reputation and his past work has been terrific from a quality standpoint. As for Duane, he ran the business well for awhile, but recently the website has fallen to just a front page for "California Roadster Company". Haven't seen any verifiable evidence yet whether Duane went out of business or is doing a reorganization. Either way, getting in line at Blackboard would likely be your best bet of getting what the KK frame used to be.

Duane is alive and well and still in business. Yes still called the kiwi connection but now has strong connections with the California roaster company. I don't think black board hot rods has any connection with Duane's quality frames. He has a large warehouse of parts at great prices. https://www.facebook.com/messages/duane.jones.750

Yes, Kiwi Konnection / California Roadster Company is definitely still in business, and still making high quality frames.

I have one of Duane's chassis and can't say anything but good about it or doing business with him.
