I think you are correct but it seems a strange way to go considering to supply of parts for a B pump. Even though I run a B engine in one of my cars, I have never seen a B water pump. Everybody uses an A head and water pump on their B engine if they have one. (not common here)

I like them simply because they do not leak and are readily available Of course there are the other leak less pumps available too J
