Default 1936-1947 Ford ignition tumbler with Key

Would anyone know where i can purchase a cylinder tumbler with key for a 1936 to 1947 ford. After being told by a vendor that they had four and would ship the day of call, I proceeded to remove the original with a broken key. After two weeks and numerous unanswered calls, no tumbler. All the aftermarket vendors are out of stock. This is not a concourse car, so just a quality functioning tumbler will be fine. Thanks for any help-information.

FYI, I think the ignition key style changed in 1939. Said another way 32-38 keys are one style and 39-47 keys are a second style.

I agree with 38 coupe.

If you can attach a photo (especially the rear), others may be able to assist. I have some, but dont want to offer you the incorrect one.

Not sure, it is actually in a 1930 Ford Coupe. That’s the reason i posted a picture of the steering column drop mount.

You should contact either 32Phil or Flatheadcoupe about your lock cylinder. They may be able to help with repair or replacement.

Check with the guys that know -- as suggested by Zeke3.

I may have a replacement for you -- but currently not near the locks.
Will be later this week --

same problem here. So I bought new tumbler & keya I think vintique or something total junk found the little eccentric is too small to work. For 7 yrs driving with a dead cylinder no key that looks locked but the modern crook has no clue anyways about these. I often think how Clyde Barrows stole these cars ?? with no key and locked ??

I think I read that the 34 Fordor that Bonnie and Clyde were killed in was stolen with the keys left in the ignition. Not sure about others they stole.
