I've got some rough cowls. I've been planning to fix one of them up for the AA project. I may just build a huckster or hack out of it. Ive got the fenders, running boards and heavy duty style front bumper. Now that it has got cooler here, maybe I can tear myself away from the computor .

Hey Purdy,
Reckon that little frame and engine would make the drive to Texas? I have an extra cowl and Cab back!

A crappy picture but - after 30 years it still looks the same. Will take some better pictures and post in early Jan.

I've had a few over the years. They usually end up having parts robbed off of them for other projects until there is nothing left...

Pictures of two of them. Had another that was found with a roadster cowl and a late 1920's wrecker unit on the back, not sure if I have any pictures of it. Don't think I have any pictures of my current Worthington, either.

There is one around here someplace. Fleming's http://www.flemingshows.com/ has about a dozen in various states of repair. Not for sale. I got a Model A engine out of one in Medford years ago. There were lots of them used in the blue berry fields

Has a Worthington placard on it and to my understanding the early Worthington's were essentially Model A doodlebugs used to pull gang mowers.
Any idea how I validate if it is an actual Worthington or not ? I have some history on it but but not a lot.

There are quite a few Worthington unique parts on them, though they are mostly early Ford parts. Yours looks like a 33 or later model. Should have 32 rear axle parts, steering, BB 4 speed transmission, B engine, 32 pedals, etc. Tank under hood at firewall, mine has model T type amp gauge, curved bracket to hold steering column, rear axle tubes rotated and bolted to rear frame. Pedal bracket is unique to Worthington as is the connecter between transmission and axle. Front axle and spindles on mine are 33-4 stuff with unique wishbone that has what looks like 32-4 forgings at front on odd bent tubes that come together into a unique forging at rear. I'll try to get some pictures of mine this week.

Hey DB Carter, that second picture looks like one I took a picture of at the Dover Steam show this summer, with the wood spoke wheels on the back. The sign on it said that the rear end was from a Graham.

BTW, you part of a club up there? I'm a member of Three Rivers Model A. Live SE of Pittsburgh.

Haha, the DB was just to identify that one as being Dodge Brothers based...
Sorry for the confusion. I am up about 50 miles north of the Burgh. Member of the Flyers Roadster Club.

The rear in that one was TT worm drive, if I remember right.

Yes sir that's where you will find lots of talk and photos all about doodlebugs. Right there on the doodlebug forum page where they talk all about doodlebugs, not Model A Fords.

I made a "tractor" when I was about 14 or 15 with the help of a welder that my father knew. Cut a perfectly good 1939 Chevy 4 door down, shorted the frame up, installed two transmissions (back to back), used a Model T truck rear end (worm drive), cut a boiler in two and made a snow plow. Used a FWD air pressure brake cylinder for the lift and ran it off of the intake manifold. Not much of a lift distance, but it worked and held up until you gased the engine and lost the vacuum. I ran a copper pipe loop up to the dash and used a water shut off valve. I remember, I had him split the six cylinder exhaust manifold and I installed duel pipes. I had a lot of fun, learned a lot of mechanical things and made some extra money plowing snow. I don't have any pictures
