Hey Guys, Check this out. I had to pull the motoe receiently for a non related problem. Put everything back CORRECTLY and it made one click on the starter and that was that. Charged the battery, still nothing. Test light showed power to all places where it should be. Thought I might have shorted the high tention cable to the distributor. I disconnected all the connections at the terminal box. Still nothing. Ordered new switch fron Snyders same day. In the meantime was reading a Q&A in the Restorer and it was about any of the electrical components not working if they had bad grounds. Well, to make a long story short, I had refurbished the clutch housing with some nice Ford green paint. If I pull the starter and scrape the paint away from the starter bolt connections, do you think the car will start?

Its worth a shot. Its either a bad ground or a problem with your starter. When you have the starter off check the starting mechanism on the top and make sure its connections are good.

Can you turn the engine over with the crank? If not, perhaps the starter is jambed. Put the car in high gear and rock it back and forth.

Just clean your battery cables where they hook onto the battery. Had the same problem the other day and that did the trick. If you don't have a cable cleaner, that would be a good investment. In the meantime, try sandpaper.

I've never seen a paint related grounding problem, especially when lock washers are used. I have seen dark lead on the battery posts cause problems, as well as rust in the ground circuit.

Guys, My problem was a bad ground at the positive ground strap. Thank you for your help.
