I have Bosch 1/2 and 3/8 drills with hand tighten chucks. Before I had a Milwaukee 1/2 key chuck. All of them seemed to hold well. If you get too much torque any will slip.Bosch lithium batteries seem to last well.

My second choice would be Dewalt. I have a small impact wrench that is a great time saver and very handy.

I have had a Milwaukee 3/8 "Tradesman" model keyless for a few years. Best variable speed hand drill I have ever owned. No problem drilling Henry steel with the right bits but it is not cordless.
As info, I was going to buy a DeWalt small right angle tight quarter drill to replace my HF cheapo model which kept breaking chucks and discovered it was identical. Some brands or models are not made where they used to be.

My cordless Dewalt keyless is starting to slip after about 10 yrs of hard use.
