roadster windshields 28-29 and 30-31
I am wondering what the differences are and how to tell them apart, between the two roadster windshields the 1928-29 and the 1930-31.

Most of the 1928-9 windshields should have a single hole for the hand wiper. About mid 1929 power wipers were offered.

I sure hope some knowledgeable folks respond to 74bowtie's thread.
I am interested in learning more about the differences between windshields. Where do you measure a windshield? In the middle? On the end? Mine is 14" in the middle and 14 3/4" on the end and chrome. Which windshields were painted and which were chrome? Mine has no holes except for side cover snap ons. Thanks in advance for sharing your knowledge. |

Easy- 1930-1931 roadster windshield frames have a groove up the outside verticle edges for the rubber. 1928-1929 roadster windshield frames are smooth on the outer edges- no grooves. Deluxe 30-31 roadster frames are 1 1/4 inches shorter then std roadster frames.

I think that is a closed car windshield if I'm not mistaken. Most open car windshields were more a round tube than flat. Kerby |

This one is flat metal on the sides and round at the top. I am guessing that opening n the drivers side top is where the wiper motor mounted. Wp |
