32 3 window new wood
I have an original 32 three window coupe that was stripped of all the body wood. I have a Wood Art wood kit that seems complete less any hardware or instructions. I have done some test fitting and everything seems to fit except the B pillar wood the door hinges attach to seems to be too long by 1/2" making the door header not fit and the hinges not aligned with the cut outs in the body.
I've searched for any dimensional information that might help but I haven't been successful. If anyone has dimensions or might know where I can find them it would appreciate it. Of any tips or suggestions on putting together this wood would be helpful. |

Likely not helpful, but just in case the photo below shows an installed Wood Art B pillar (plus package tray and rear window wood).

Do you have other pictures of that three window?

Yes, but what other views are you seeking?

Re: 32 3 window new wood
I think that even if the original engineering drawings are used to make the wood pieces some tweaking will still be required. The WoodArt pieces that we used came from the Company before it was sold to a fellow in California some years ago. I do not know, therefore, about what is or isn't offered by the new owner or of its quality.
I only have one photo of the bare interior front of the coupe pre-restoration. All of the wood that appears in the photo is original and did not require replacement. |

Re: 32 3 window new wood
I installed a Wood Art kit in my 3W in the mid seventies. When I held the new wood up to the empty body it just looked like "No Way" Compared the new wood to the original, IDENTICAL. Started tacking the B pillar in at the center hinge, alternated tacking, one up, one down. When finished amazing, couldn't fit better. Thought about buying a second kit in case I might out out live the first one. BTW, I painted all the replacement wood pieces with black Rustoleum cut 50 50 with thinner. Soaked right in dried in 24 hr.

Re: 32 3 window new wood
Maybe there's a difference in the fit of the older Wood Art wood and the new wood?
