Re: Antique auto insurance
J C Taylor
I had a claim last year and it went smooth and quick. I received a check 10 days after reporting. $2900 for a banged door and fender and they accepted an estimate that my body shop faxed to them. Taylor must use Hagerty because I received a call from a Hagerty adjuster and the check came from Hagerty. John |

Re: Antique auto insurance
ANPAC's Chrome. 10,000 miles a year. Stipulated value up to $25,000 without an appraisal.

Re: Antique auto insurance
State Farm . Same as my newer stuff and no hassles . All you have to do is agree on a value and the rate will match that . Again just like the new stuff .

Re: Antique auto insurance
Hagerty is my insurer. I just checked Old Henry's insurer "ANPAC's Chrome" and they are about 30% less expensive.

Re: Antique auto insurance
I had all of my cars and home with Farmers for many many years until I needed to insure my classic. The premium was going to be so high that it was actually my Farmers agent that recommended that I go shop for car insurance especially made for antique cars. That's when I found ANPAC'S Chrome policy. I picked it because it allowed many more miles per year and a higher stipulated value without an appraisal than any others. But then, once I shifted all of my cars to ANPAC (which you have to do to get their insurance on the antique) I discovered that I saved $1,200 per year on my premiums!

Re: Antique auto insurance
Just remember to place an "Agreed Value" in dollars between you and the insurer somewhere in your policy...makes life lots easier when there's a total loss...This coming from experience.

Re: Antique auto insurance
I had J. C. Taylor for many years, then went to Grundy for lower premiums till Grundy went up every year, now with Hagerty. Get bids from several (Hagerty was lowest for me), and get Agreed Value with whoever you choose.

Re: Antique auto insurance
I use Grundy.
Be sure to check for mileage limitations if you drive your car very much. State Farm limits you to 500 miles a year. That's about 40 miles a month. Not enough for me!!
