Ahhh. Yes, I missed it and now I get it. That was funny and sometimes sadly true.

[QUOTEI'd need a very long parts list to amortize the attendance cost on a per part basis. Lets see I saved $20 on my $50 part by not buying off the web but spent $1,000+. Guess I'm just one of those cheap Model A guys...... ][/QUOTE]

That's still less than a lot of hobbies...

It may have been someone's joke, but not mine. When I said there are showers in the middle of the Chocolate field I THINK there still are. In the big concrete bathroom. I know several that camp on the fields that go there. No joke.

According to the Hershey brochure there are pay showers in the maintenance building for vendors use only.

LOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HA HA Thanks for the laughter Bill!
great start to the morning.

yes the showers was a joke, as in it rains at Hershey ALL OF THE TIME!

this thread went kaput real fast......

well Incognito- while your intentions were xlnt, the only suggestion I would give at this point is to start earlier next yr. Many guys plan for this a yr in advance and nobody
seems to be flexible at the last minute. which it is.
Hope everyone has a great time. I will be staying home, though I am only a couple of hours away. Economics being the deciding factor. Also my wheels have worn out....
and so it is. see you all in the funnies!
If anybody wants plan for next year, I can meet you at Gary Johnson’s space. He can vouch for me; I’ve only known him nearly 30 years. Plenty of references from other high profile Model A members as well.

I'm just saying there used to be not long ago, may be gone. Don't check, I don't care. I shower at home.

Hello, We used to reserve a motel room from year to year, but every one got old or unfortunately passed on ,so not anymore, agreed not “cost effective “ but was a vacation many look forward to each year. More fun and now memories than finding parts , even back then would pre arrange to pick items found in Hemmings or Old Cars , no internet then.

There are also "secret" male and female showers (and bathrooms and locker rooms) for the Hershey Park employees around the back side of the stadium. Since Hershey Park is closed during the Hershey swap meet, there are always open (and clean) private, shower stalls at all hours of the day or night, with lots of hot water where you can shower for as long as you would like.....and no one at the door to collect any money!

We've however gotten soft in recent years and now stay in a hotel which we reserve well in advance and pay for with hotel points earned through our credit card (so basically free).
