Default Dura sleeve for Rear axel groove repair

I still have a few sets of durasleeve axle groove repair sets left. They are SS and come with installation instruction to repair seal grooves in rear axles.

How many sets do you have and at what price?

In the mid 1980s I was driving a 79 Chevy Malibu 267 V8.

This small V8 had a 2.29 to one rear axle. I wanted more "grunt" on mountain roads so I swapped out the 2.29 for a 2.54.

The axle shafts were grooved. The local auto parts store had some seals where the lip of the seal was offset a 1/16 or 1/8 inch so that the seal LIP rubbed on a different part of the axle.

No dura sleeve or Machine work needed.

A call to Napa parts store tells me that these are not available anymore.

But maybe somebody still makes these.

This was much cheaper than doing machine work on the axles or Dura-sleeves.

.

IF Dura Sleeve is the same as Speedi Sleeves I think they are still made. I have used them several times with excellent results.

Thanks for reply but I am not looking for sleeves.

See Bold text in my post #3 above.

Looking for a Seal that was common in 1980s, with an OFFSET LIP that rubs on a different part of axle.
