Can anyone ID this bracket ? I"m thinking 34 Victoria has a round flange where it mounts to the trunk lid ?

Here you go…the top two bolts have the nuts mounted in the panel. The bottom two mounts are bolts and nuts through the holes in the panel.

That is not the same as what I posted at all. What I posted has a 3 bolt hole triangular flat flange and the bracket is not curved but short and straight.

Not what is shown in Sheldon's photos, but rather a typical A-suffix '33-'34 hollow bracket, open on the underside. Note that the one in Sheldon's photos is not open on the underside and it has three mounting holes for attachment, not four as with the typical '33-'34 bracket like that shown in photos in #6 and #7 above.

Nor is it the super early '33 bracket which is a stamping.

My guess is that the B suffix got left off when the part was cast as it is the '34 40-740-only bracket.

Only the basic part number is the same. Yours is 40-1434-A, Sheldon's is 40-1434-B without the B cast in. What is cast in as a suffix is a triangle, not the letter A. The two parts are not interchangeable. Basic part numbers are only the starting points, the prefixes and suffixes determine actual usage.
