The Greyhound is not a “Ford” authorized accessory for the 32 Ford.

Both items are not Ford original equipment, but rather aftermarket. The carburetor may be of interest to someone frustrated with their original Detroit Lubricator and willing to spend $50-$75 for something different. The Greyhound lacks any obvious means of attachment to an automobile , its base is unique compared to other aftermarket greyhounds for Fords of the period, and appears to be for something other than a Ford vehicle. On top of that, the right front paw is broken off. $10, if you are lucky.

They are worth what you paid for them today--that was the real time market.

I paid very little for these items so not getting hurt. Just curious. The ornament is identical to this one on ebay. I think it is cool and will keep it but if someone needs the carb I will help you out.

Base your value on the epay dog’s asking price and your garage will soon be full of more valueless junk like mine.

Just a note on EBay asking prices….there was N.O.S. aftermarket turn signal switch with an asking price of $399. I offered $150 and he took it.

On any given week there are a few of those Jippo Greyhounds on that Auction site.JC Whitney had them in their catalogs for $29 at one time.

The term. "N.O.S." has become a misused and meaningless term. A "new, still the box", JC Whitney Greyhound is not, IMO, a NOS piece. It is just a piece of repro crap still in it's repro crap, new, box.

The thread would have been served better by a title with an additional letter and a comma. "Re: NORS carb, and greyhound".

Punctuation is important.

It has been a long time and I am into the 4 bangers but wasn't there a place to attach another rod on the right side of the carb in '32 or '33 making it incorrect for one or the other?

Throttle rod On the left side in '33.In '32 the throttle rod was connected to the bellcrank and another rod from the bellcank to the ball on the gas pedal. This is for the V8 application.

It would function on either '32 or '33 V8, but in both cases the original throttle and choke controls would have to be modified. Presumably that cable in the photos is part of the those modifications.

Yes. As well as a thick gasket that goes on the air horn.
