'40 Ford front bumper brackets.
I got into a discussion about the mounting of 40 front bumper brackets. I've always mounted mine where the inner and outer brackets "sandwich" the frame. My friend mounted his with both brackets on the outside of the frame. Everything seems to line up and the grommets fit nicely with his method. What is the general opinion?

Your friend must have smashed the grommet section that goes between the two irons.

Re: '40 Ford front bumper brackets.
The survivor coupe we got had the bumper off and going by the rust marks it was sandwiched on the frame rail and thats how I put it back on. There is also a standard and a deluxe bumper irons for the front
