Default Picked up a AR Roadster yesterday.

Car was pulled apart 10 years ago. The only item missing is the radiator shroud. I just happen to have one. All parts are clean and ready to finish.

Those are such interesting cars as so much is different from later models. How low is your engine number? I helped a friend work on 4092 many years ago, His brake rods weren't adjustable, almost seemed like some of the parts were off of a prototype as even the bolts were different. You are lucky that it is so complete.

Good looking project.
A previous owner has trimmed the front motor mount. Will you put it back on? Or go with the yoke?
Congrats! Jeff

Flop I will see you there! I'm undecided on the motor mount but probably will put it back just because the car is so correct. 5# on the serial. I'm going Fence Road today.

Sounds like you will keep it original to the low number, it will be a fun project, these cars are so different, it must have been some busy days at Ford with all the changes they made by mid 28.

Good move to put it back on. Sure glad my 28 never had them cut off.

You must really get around, because you sure find some good stuff.

May I ask the question? What is the difference with an AR Roadster.

Numerous things. Here are a few: brakes, light switch, clutch, foot pedals, ignition cable, fenders, splash aprons, wheels, lug nuts, bumpers, emergency brake, starter and starter switch, oil pan, radiator shroud. The truly knowlegeable AR guys can no doubt list many more features.

The AR that I was involved with even had a different cam shaft, it was visibly different with high lift cams. They are truly a different animal so to speak.

I receive a email from a friend about the car. No phone # so I Google the man's name. Call Sunday morning and hit the road at 5pm Monday. Man had owned the car for 33 years. Pulled it apart in 04.
He did not know it was AR car was supposed to be in current Hemmings and Restorer but it wasn't.
He was asking $5000 obo
