Default T parts vendor

Are there any small "T" parts vendors that want business? I ordered some parts from on of the big boys the other day and was turned off by the girls lack of knowledge and out of stock items. Anyone small enough to care?

Why would a "small" vendor be better in your opinion?

Generally a small business tries harder and doesn't hire dummies like the broad I hit the other day...........so disappointing. Where do you buy your parts?

For T parts try Birdhaven Vintage in Colfax Iowa. That would be my choice. Rod

I am a very small parts vendor, It is just me, myself, and I. My father-in-law and myself have fully restored 2 cars, and mechanically rebuilt several more. I also do, engine/transmissions, chassis, axles, pert near anything on a T.

With your attitude you may be better off with something from the 1960's Firebird, Mustang etc.

Roadster62, is it wrong to expect courteous, knowlegable parts people? I would expect this level of service from a chain auto parts store. I've been buying parts for over 50 years. If you can't say something helpful or suggest a vendor, why jump in?

If I had a question and called I'd expect answers too. But you never know who will answer the phone call. As mentioned, Lang's is very helpful. I've even recieved e-mails from Don Snyder with a question I had. The one time I called before ordering I got screwed. The above mentioned 2 sellers were out of coil point sets. (this was when the bad sets were out there). I called the 3rd of the big three and asked if the sets they had were good. I was told "sure" and ordered 4 sets. You guessed it. I got 4 sets of un-useable points. I raised hell, swallowed and paid for return postage. Second mailing were good points. Total time: 3 weeks.

Regardless of where you buy your parts,it is your responsibility to know what you are wanting ,not the order person's. Do your home work before you call.
