My goodness!!!! What some fantastic 36s!! While in the USAF (I also worked part-time at National Auto Sales) in Bellevue NE in 1983, I purchased an all original 1936 Ford 5w coupe from a 2nd owner. Within the next 6 months, I was divorced, gained custody of my 3 children, and was transferred to CA. I had to sell the 36 in Denver while we were enroute to CA. I always thought that the 36 5w was (and still is) one of the most beautifully styled Fords ever made. If I could ever afford one, I would certainly buy another one. Thanks to each of you for posting the pics of your beautiful cars!!!

Here's my homegrown 36' pickup. This was put together from pieces scrounged from the wrecking yards in San Francisco in 1951. Used hard for building houses and deer hunting for ten years and then put away and forgotten for fifty more. Frame, fenders, box, grille shell and hood are 36'. The cab is from a 37' heavy truck. Steering gear and brakes are from a 41'(hydraulic). Flathead is a 50' 8BA with a 39' top loader trans. Leaf springs are very heavy duty, not sure of origins. Blue paint applied on the street in S.F. after wetting down the street and sidewalk. Considerable amount of work to get back on the road, but worth every minute!

Here is my all-time dream car, having its beauty struck on the Fourth of July at the Atlanta & Edgewood Street Railway Company Trolley Barn in Atlanta.

Since it became mine in July 2013, I have replaced mechanical brakes with hydraulics (after a hair-raising event), redone the complete fuel system, and installed telescoping shocks on the front end. I've also completed several cosmetic projects, including restoring the radio, replacing the deluxe window garnishes and banjo wheel, and re-chroming the radio dial bezel in preparation for wood-graining the dash and window garnishes. I installed the spider hubcaps, and I have some stainless bumpers to install after I've striped them. I found a gorgeous art deco aftermarket heater that I'm restoring--a perfect fit for the interior. . . .

I plan to install a Columbia (on the way right now), rewire the whole car, and upgrade the cooling system to facilitate participation in parades. Some day it'll get a reupholstering--maybe leather, maybe Bedford cord--to replace the mohair of the previous restoration--former home to many mice. It has a ten-foot paint job, and I'm considering a color change from Washington Blue. . . .

My original 36 5-window. My father bought this when he was 15 back in 64'. Been in the family since. He gave it too me when I was 16. He hoped it would always be a "jenny", original motor, 6v, mech brakes, etc... I would never change a thing. This is last summer where it made the journey to Nashville from Nebraska where it was since 65'!! In the middle of a frame off resto to hopefully get it back to my father so he can enjoy it again!!!

This was my 5 window the last day in my old house, September of 2014. I've spent the last few months getting my new shop in order, but it's about done and I'm getting back on track.
