This is the swap meet that was held in front of the Los Alamitos horse race track.

It is now back at Veteran's stadium in Long Beach which is where it was held for many -many years.

I had planned on coming out this year, but "things" got in the way. Haven't been for a few years, but hopefully can attend next year. I grew up going to this swap meet when I lived in California and visited it several times after moving. If you are looking for good ole' iron and brass parts, this is the place to be. Get there early with your flashlight and Happy Hunting. Swap meets like this one are few and far between. Thanks to the LBMTC for keeping this tradition alive.

Heading toward Long Beach now. Have a few stops to make along the way and will get to the nearby hotel this evening. I'll be there "inspecting" the line up at 5:30 AM. I've been to the last 35+/- LBMTC swap meets and there's always treasures to be found. Wouldn't miss it for the world.

GZ-You're long overdue, hope to see you next year. If you need a rental car, I have an old Pierce you can borrow!!!

I'll be there.

Unfortunately, I'll only have my motorcycle for transportation - so no big purchase - unless anyone is coming through the South Bay and would let me hitch a ride?

Man, got a ton of great stuff at a great price. If I wasn't on the bike, I would have probably cleaned out a couple of the vendors.

Swap meets > ebay.

True That Nathan. Glad you enjoyed the day.

I had fun too, and only came away with an early '28 brake light switch.

And though there weren't as many vendors as has been in the past, the parts were wide and varied, and very reasonably priced.

I did learn, they have the stadium booked for the next FIVE (5) years, so start making plans to maybe rent a pickup next year.

I found some good deals too!
I picked up two of the 1928 Brown Distributor caps for $5.00 each in great condition.
I also picked up Jim Brierly's Second edition Book B/W and in Color and he even Autographed them both, Priceless!
Good deals on non Model A stuff too!
One 8HP Briggs & Stratton Engine $50.00
One 8HP Portable Generator $55.00
I collect small engines too among other things.
