1933 transmisson floor cover
Are there any original 1933 transmission floor covers out there or does one have to buy a newly stamped part?

Re: 1933 transmisson floor cover
Some turn up from time to time, but they would almost always be the V8 version and not the four-cylinder version. Further, I don't recall the latter ever being reproduced. It is the same issue as with the floor mat, namely the setback shift lever housing on the fours. The front of the cover is also quite different as it mates to a steel #1 floorboard rather than the wooden one used in V8s.

Aside from the transmission hole and brake hole do you believe the floor screw down holes may not align?

Re: 1933 transmisson floor cover
A lot of floor stuff on Fords is 18 gage. US Standard 18 gage steel is .0478" thick. Just measure the thickness to find an equivalent. Ford made their own steel so it may not match a standard perfectly but it will be close enough.

Re: 1933 transmisson floor cover
The '33-'34 truck version is entirely different and not adaptable to a passenger car.
The attachment holes in the pan for attaching it to the actual floor of the body are the same, four and V8. The difference in attachment holes are as I stated above, namely where the pan attaches to the #1 floorboard (the removable one). |

Re: 1933 transmisson floor cover
My 1937 passenger car trans cover measured 0.0435 thickness. I used 18 gauge to repair the top of it where it had been modified and it worked great.
