Default Re: Old Gas

STARTRON is good fuel stabilizer that is what the outboard motor guys use.

Might not hurt to order a 5 gallon can or two of Sunoco racing fuel and put that in the car before storage. It is similar to aviation fuel won't separate and gunk things up.

I'm not sure about nationally, but quite a few stations here in Colorado offer ethanol free regular. It's usually about 40 cents a gallon higher than corn gas. Its much cheaper than spending $4+ for octane you can't use. This spring the A was starting hard and running rough. I expected the gas was at least a year old, filled by the previous owner. I ran the carb empty, drained the tank, cleaned the sediment bowl and put in 5 gallons of non-ethanol with 2 ounces of MMO. Solved the hard start and rough running issues.
