Default Oil Filter canister - 1950 shoebox

We have an oil filter canister that was on when the car was purchased, but it is not plumbed - so it is just on there for show at the moment. I know there needs to be an .060 restrictor on the inlet side, but are there certain hose dimensions we should be looking for, and connectors for the block?

On my 8BA I used 1/4 in. fuel line to make new oil filter lines. You can see the .060 restrictor at the top. That restrictor came of of a 1950 Mercury but, there are aftermarkets as well. You can see the connectors I soldered on the line to join it together. Works fine.
