Camshafts are an interesting topic. I have a cam that has 21A stamped in the end, but 5T cast on the shaft....and another that has 5T stamped on the end, and 21A cast on the shaft....what gives??

It has been stated that the 1cm cam has 236* advertised duration, curious what it is a .050 lift?

Set up a degree wheel and go for it! That way you will be sure to have accurate, first-hand information for that specific camshaft.

Around 208 deg. I also measured 240 deg at .020 lift.

It would be easier if I had the cam in hand. Thanks flatjack for posting your info.

Just out of interest, what do you not like about the cam in there now?
And do you actually know for certain it's got a 3/4 "of somesort"
I ask as if you don't know for certain what cam is in it, you could be swapping in the same cam! For instance, when you buy a car and chap says "it's got a 3/4 cam" kinda goes with "it ran great when I parked it", Were you just told that's what it had?

I'm not doubting your knowledge, I just don't want you doing unnecessary parts swapping.
Martin.

The Merc cam has around .330 lift whereas the Ford is .300. The cam will have either 8CM or 1CM cast somewhere along the length of the cam.

I too have a cam that is marked EA A although it is marked slightly different than the one pictured in this quote. Is this the same as an EAB cam or what do I have???
