Default Steering Wheel Identification?

I have this steering wheel from my friend's estate. I don't know what it is. It is in very nice shape. The center horn button arrangement is interesting. I have not seen another like it. The hub is threaded and the cap/horn button with a spring are held down by screwing the assembly into the hub. It is 17" in diameter. Thanks.

Don't think it is a Ford wheel. Looks like maybe someone added a later Ford button to the original button.

Yes the Ford oval on the horn button is not period correct. I'm still stumped. The stainless pieces look like the ones used on a '37 banjo style wheel.

Not an early Ford wheel. It is for splined shaft and not a key way shaft(photo #2). Looks like something from General Motors.
