Yes that's exactly the reason I'm using only the blocks without exhaust seat rings. In 2019 I experienced a valve seat failure on my primary race engine
in the pits at Speedweek. Thankfully the failure happened during setting the timing. If the seat failure happened during a run the results would have been
really bad causing a complete loss of the entire engine.
