Default Engine splash pan repair dimension needed

Hi all,

Friend of mine wanted to fix the original engine splash pans on his A.....tabs are broke and / or missing. I need a dimension on one of them. See pic attached below if someone can get me the center to center dimension that would be a huge help. I have all Model T stuff so i dont know what it should be and unfortunately the A is not easily accessible at this point. Thanks in advance.

Not sure how accurate but I just measured a pan gasket , unopened, still in clear wrapper. Center to center I get 12⅞". Hope that helps. BTW, I made some wide washers to spread out the clamping area.

Chad, I think you are picturing the passenger side pan (no cut-out for steering/light fitment), mine is approx.. 171/2".
Driver side with cut-out area is approx. 15".
If you are fabricating tabs, might be an idea to have an oblong hole cut in each tab to allow some movement if not lining up exactly.. kb

Thank You! It does have a cut out if you look carefully towards the left. Hard to tell with my bench covered with stuff, lol. I wasn't sure which side it was from as he just handed them to me. All the other holes I fixed had at least a remnants of where the holes were, but this one tab was totally gone. Thank you again!

That's a good idea. Thank you for your help.

That is incorrect, the center line to center line is ~12⅞", maybe 13", which is what the OP asked. Your measurement is from the from the front of the engine pan to the centerline on the bolt?

The cutout you are referring to is for the exhaust pipe.

The drivers side does not have any cutouts for the steering/light fitment.

It might be best to measure directly from the application you are fixing them for.

I agree, but as I mentioned, the car is unavailable to me at this point and I unfortunately can't rely on my friend to get the correct info himself for me for certain reasons.
