My grand fathers brother died in Paris in 1956 while attending the Paris motor show. He was heading up the Rolls Royce dealership at the time. His son took over.

Sounds strange to us but how else were they to move them? In those very early days, cars were not very reliable even though the French were world leaders in the development of the automobile. Other countries have pretty much caught up with them but for decades, the French were out in front. I have a 1928 French car (Delage) and when I bought the project, I was told by the seller that if I was looking for a vintage car driving experience, I was going to be disappointed - they drive too much like a modern car. He was right! Superb, light steering, smooth running, light controls (including vacuum assisted brakes) and excellent road manners make even the best Model A look stupid.
