Re: Something different speedster
The carburetion treatment is interesting. I assume the carburetors are SU. There is cross over connection between the two separate intake manifolds.
Actually the whole car is interesting. Very nicely done. Thanks for the link.

Re: Something different speedster
Nice looking car, but I don't get why the builder didn't use matching instruments. Would look way better.

What do you think are the chances he says something similar about our cars? Like you said, "To each his own."

regarding the SUs, prob had them laying around from an old triumph spitfire and hence, the mis matched instruments. was prob done on the cheap. no different then many of the speedsters built. one's own interpretation. I give the guy credit. |

Re: Something different speedster
I cannot tell how the front spring is treated but in the rear you can see the cross member for the rear spring behind the seat, up high. Lowering the majority of the frame is, in my opinion, a good way to lower the center of gravity. If I was going to build a speedster, I am not, I would try and build it along these lines. I like the rear gas tank.
The whole car sort of looks like a 1922 Vauxhall 3-liter racing car except with wider tires. (Tyres.)
