Default Front Transmission Bearing Retainer

Hi,

Pulling apart the transmission in my 1930 coupe in order to do some troubleshooting. Following Les Andrews Vol 1 shows the front bearing retainer under the bell housing. Mine appears to be one with the bell housing. Is this not a standard Ford part?

Just curious.

Thanks,
Jerry

Give it a tap or two, that thing should have stayed with the transmission. Probably just stuck in there good. The retainer isn't actually under the bellhousing, the bellhousing fits around in like yours is.
