Default Which flywheel to use?

Getting ready to send out a flywheel to be resurfaced for the stock 37 221. I have two and need to know if one would be better use than the other. I assume they interchangeable. The one with the raised side is what came out of the 37 and the other was included with another engine I purchased. Thanks.

Lighter is better in most applications, is the engine stock?

I'd go with the heavy one, this will improve drivability on the street.

It is a .100 overbore but otherwise completely stock.

Might be better off with the heavy, like Ron said. With a stock engine and heavy car it can help and I'm assuming your not interested in maximum acceleration!

The one on top would take a 9" disc, while the bottom looks like 11". I'd go with the 9".

Thanks, I will go with the heavy one. No drag racing just a good running stock flathead.

Machine the lip off of the 9" version, that coupled with the lighter weight of the 9 " clutch will give you a better accelerating engine.

Or redrill the 11 inch clutch flywheel for a 9 inch clutch, but don't believe he is interested in acceleration.

He asked if one would be better to use...
Machining the lip off the 9" flywheel will result in a lower weight package than drilling the 11" wheel to suit.
