Ignition cable removal.
Need to remove ignition cable from distributor body. More than hand tight!! How do I loosen without marring cable? Should cable be screwed in far enough to make indent in lower body plate area here where condenser connects? Thanks for your help..

Re: Ignition cable removal.
I have wrapped it with duct tape and used soft jaw vice grips. Probably a better way, but that's how I did it.

Re: Ignition cable removal.
The indent is manufactured into the lower plate.

Re: Ignition cable removal.
It is very easy to tighten it too much and cause a short. Just hand tight is plenty.
