Rex, thanks for the comments about the huckster.

I have installed all new parts in both distributors. But the thing I did not do, on both of them, is put in the insulator washer on the point bolt that has the nut under the top plate. I notice the clip on the wire under the top plate that ties to the points, when turned will almost touch the rivets that hold the points bolt on the top plate. So I have ordered some of these washers to see if I can get this clip a little further away from those rivets. My thinking is that the nut on the points and the clip may turn just enough when the spark is moved to have that clip touch the rivets and short. Any thoughts on this or am I dreaming.

Gary; We will leave Island on 22nd and stay in motor home in town..head to Walla Walla on Tuesday..meet up with Jim and Perry in Duvall..and you if we catch up with you..nothing on docket till wine tasting that evening..time to get settled in and get re-aquainted....Dick
