Default Hood Holders

I used to have a set of rubberized Z configured hood holders. They were flexible and slipped under the hood holder handle and around the radiator rod. No scratches of paint, etc... Anybody know where I can get a couple sets? Can't find them in the usual catalogues'.

i made a couple like that style for showing.. did not want anything that was attached to the car...
i used the hooks that suspend the exhaust pipes at my auto parts store jobber. you can get them for free and tweak them to work... i then covered them in electrical wire shrink wrap and put a vacuum cap on each end...

Many, many, many years ago my Dad used to make them and sell them. I recently made my own version, heavy coat hanger wire covered by the smallest vacuum line I could get. I mentioned it to Dad and his reply was "just make sure they don't hit the fan". I haven't had any problems.

I fashioned a piece of half inch cold rolled round stock which spans the radiator rods, extending left and right, and bent slightly downward from the rods to where the hood will "roost". There, at the terminus, I welded a small L shaped tab to which is riveted a short piece of open half inch i.d. fuel line. Hood sets comfortably open on both sides in the cup shaped hose with no scratch, etc. It can be fastened to the rods with clamps;- I used wire ties -- almost invisible. (not sure if this will serve your purpose, but FYI)
