Rumor has it that Bonnie & Clyde's car had no mouse problems. And that was BEFORE the shootout. They were tough and ready to rumble.

But I am only rough and ready to crumble, so I need the peanut butter.

We use FRESH CAB on the farm in our combine and tractor cabs during winter storage. Works well and the fragrance is pleasant, and it is not expensive. Google FRESH CAB for product information and ordering information. Tom

My problem with using traps with peanut butter and other teasing stuff is that it attracts mice and rats, Of course you catch mice there going for the food which they can smell. I'm sure you can shoot anything down but I too use dyer clothes with great success but I'm sure there would be mouse some were who also loves the smell.
My point is even if it does not work your car will still smell good so far 10 cars mouse free. I also might add I have 6 cats that kill everything birds mouse and anything that moves. so it could be the dryer sheets or just good hunting

It's no wonder that you don't have any mice if you don't feed them and they all look like this:

I'm a cat rancher, doesn't pay well (not many Chinese restaurants in the area) but they do seem to earn their keep. I don't let them in the shop (like to jump on fenders and nice shiney painted things)
My dad swore Irish Spring was the answer until Mom found a nest in the Kleenex box.....
I'll probably throw some drier sheets under the seat on the pick-up
