Re: Cracked Fan!!
Mine looked exactly the same when I changed it a few weeks ago. The Aluminum fan I replaced it with is better balanced and noticeably smoother. Money well invested.

Re: Cracked Fan!!
Broke one back in the 1970,s haven’t trusted since then. No problem with the aluminum ones except sometimes having to grind front of water pump casting to get clearance,as aluminum ones are thicker at inner pulley .

Re: Cracked Fan!!
put that thing on the shelf or in the scrap bin, it's a bomb ready to go off. I put the six blader on and never looked back. I have an original cast iron fan and it sits on a shelf. No way I'm putting that stick of dynamite under my hood again.

Re: Cracked Fan!!
Never ever turn your engine over using the fan! When I installed a new 900$ radiator I changed my late 31 fan blade with the new aluminum ones. Some of the engine vibrations seamed to be lessened. When I restored the original fan I bead blasted it, magnafluxed it, checked it for straightness and balance ( the best shade tree methods possible)

Re: Cracked Fan!!
What about the four blade fans? Also I'm running a C head and a three bolt pump, will the new aluminum fan fit this pump shaft?
