Default Today I ordered a BackYard Buddy

It will be 9 weeks before I can go and get it if all goes well. Not cheap but I have been putting it off for years. It my Christmas the wife says. Any of you fellows have one. All the way back from the Moonshine I was thinking it sure would be nice to have one. I got wheels and the center pans to catch oil from the car on top. I need to put heat in the big garage also. That my next project to do.

Ken, You will enjoy your Backyard Buddy! Here's a couple of pics of mine. You might recognize the '40 Convertible on top! Pat

I bought one about 20-years ago and have used it almost daily for all that time. I've never had to replace a single thing on it, except the battery (mine runs on a 12v deep cycle battery), which has been changed twice. I keep it on a Battery Tender, so it's always ready to go.

It's a great unit and I've used it for myriad of car projects over the years, from multiple engine swaps, transmission changes, front & rear axle work, etc. I even wax my cars on it. If it wasn't for my BYB, I wouldn't be doing nearly as much as I do with it because of my bad back.

You'll enjoy yours, I'm sure!

What took you so long???? One of the best buys you will ever make regardless of the brand. I have a rotary lube rack with a catwalk. The only down side is you cannot reach in from the side as it is too wide. Be sure to invest in a hard hat as you will surely hit your head.

I've been thinking about one of these for a long time myself. How much do these things cost and how do you buy one?

Thanks,
Heard

Redneck I had mine installed a month ago. It is a great tool. Don't how I got along without. I also got the rolling platform to aid in jacking it up to do brake and tire rotation work. You will love it.

I, too, enjoy my Backyard Buddy. We have a number of them in our club. Several guys have sold other mfgr's lifts to replace them with a lift from Backyard Buddy.
We're all very pleased with BYB. You will not regret a BYB purchase. Al

We have two, and we love them. They make most jobs so much simpler. I even used one to paint the garage ceiling...just put the wheels on it and moved where I needed it. One word of caution............once you level the cables make sure you locktite the nuts on top....they will back out.....ask me how I know..

I've had mine for 20-years and never had that problem, but I double-nutted the top nuts. I did have to make a cable adjustment after a month or so after installation due to initial cable stretch, but it's been untouched for all these years since then.

Now you fellows make me hungry to get mine. He said the last of Dec. or first of Jan. That a long time for a Redneck. It cost me $4900 bucks. He did give me 250 off for being veteran. That all I could get off.
