I haven't seen an old Ford 9N/8N tractor that still has a generator for a while since most have alternator conversions but it might be worth a look to see how one of those might be modified to work on a Model A engine. They are a 2-brush and use a 3-pole regulator. The Model A wiring would need some modification for it to work but it may be a possibility.

Thank you to the gents who commented some knowledge. I appreciate that. So this idea is tossed. I got a great deal on a powermaster generator look a like for cheap.
