Wescott fiberglass sort of set the standard for fiberglass fenders. Not inexpensive and not junk.

I have a pair of rears and they are nice and thick, no braces, so I guess they will have to be custom fitted? or left off. These were bought from an individual off Ebay and were very cheap!

When I built my 36 cabriolet, I had no fenders, only a rusted out shell of a car. I bought Karl Wescotts fenders and they are very nice. I couldn't afford the custom made ones and the availability of original fenders is nil. You have to drill the holes, but that is not a problem. The quality is excellent. Karls father Dee started the business many years ago and they have been a quality product ever since.

I avoid glass parts when possible but when I must use them then it is either Wescott or Poli-Form. The latter is also a company that's been around a long time but not as well known even though the product is in line with Wescott's. No cheaper. Wescott has frame dimensions on it's site which is very handy at times.

$380 each. So hard to find in steel, hens teeth.

Search the threads fer 36 fenders to find info on patch panels.

I got my rear fender from R&M Fiberglas in Tenn. Good fenders and cheaper than others I checked.

I saw a '33 3-W Wescott Coupe at the Flashback Weekend Car Show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada last weekend. Although chopped, it had excellent detail!

Wescott's fenders are 'top drawer' products. I've got a set of Wescott's up front on my '41 project truck and a set of "no-names" for the rear (unsure where the previous owner got them). Such a large difference in quality! So much so, that I've been adding a few layers of fiberglass to the edges of the no-name rear fenders as insurance against cracking.

I just noticed that we've been posting to a thread from January 2011. Oh well, I guess a price update and few more testimonials can't hurt!
