Default 1932 leather upholstery

I'm getting ready to have the seat upholstered on a 32 three window coupe. I am using a leather kit from L-B. How are the side panels on the seat frame finished off? I have leather for each side of the arms and wire on welt. Do the side arm panels overlap on the edge then covered by the wire on welt? Or should the panels be stitched together? Thanks for your help.

Each side tacked to the top and leading edges of the seat side panels followed by the welting.

Thanks DavidG. I have not found any pictures that show this detail, well there is one of a restored interior. Was the cloth seat side done the same way? Does anyone have a picture of an original showing this side arm detail?

John Wordon, the L-B instruction sheets are somewhat confusing as they are not 1932- 3 window specific. They variously apply to Model A coupe, 34 Coupe and in a couple of spots it says " not 3 window" or "5 window only" and appears to be for a fabric interior.

Thanks! Ted

The five window seat side trim is handled differently as the sides are steel, not wood like the '32 3-window and the '33-'34 coupe. The photo below is of an amazing original '32 3-window seat in Bedford cord upholstery material.
