As usual, I've been eves-dropping.
I didn't know my Special Coupe was so special either. It's been recovered improperly and looks like hell. But it's the cutest little Model A. I knew it was an early '28 but all this other stuff is new to me. If you've got any more on this style I'd like to know.

CO29- the tan car was an online ad that ran last year not our car in the photo gallery. We got the green Special Coupe as an incomplete restoration from the estate of the previous owner. Lots of work was already done by professionals but no receipts to track the work and some of the work was incorrect for Model As.

If you decide to install a new top, do it on a very hot sunny day. The rear section needs to be stretched extensively. I had two helpers help me install the top on my 28 special coupe on a real hot day about 2 years ago. We toasted our fingurs in the process, but we got the top installed with no puckers in it. If you need some pictures of the installation, let me know.

I'm in the process of restoring my 29 special coupe. I'm almost done with the wood and will be installing the top soon. I'm very interested in seeing your photo album of the replacement you've done. I clicked on your smugmug link, but it requires a password to view the pictures. Are the pictures still on-line for viewing?
